Hudak Tories Must Show us Their Platform
Here’s what I dislike most about party politics. It’s not about good ideas;
it’s about who gets credit for them. While the NDP’s Andrea Horwath
goes public with a plan to scrap the HST on energy bills and the Liberals’
Finance Minister Dwight Duncan criticizes her idea, the Tim Hudak
Conservatives declare they have no intention of unveiling their election
promises any time soon. Their reason? They fear that the Liberals
might abscond with their best ideas. If a party or an individual politician
is passionate about a good idea, and if he cares about the good of the
people, it behooves him to get that idea out as soon as possible, have it
debated and improved thoroughly and not care about who gets credit for
it.
